Most of the books that I’ve read, probably, but nothing obvious enough to actually notice myself changing.

I’d probably redo Sunday and actually order the books I was supposed to read for my Humanities final. >.>

A doctor, a teacher, an artist, or a person-who-gets-homeless-people-fed-and-jobs-and-houses.

My little sister. We seem to have really, really different sensory abilities (my sense of sight and my visual memory seems to be way better than hers, and apparently I have no ability to smell anything ever in comparison to her) and neurodivergencies, and I want to know what it’s like being in her head so I can try to adjust my own behaviors to help her more.

If it’s not spoilery, could you share what’s going on in there? I’ve been mostly avoiding it. I’m sorry whatever it is is angering you, though.

Erm, Tripleness, this, this, and this, just today and yesterday.

I don’t like the hating on Elementary. I haven’t yet seen a justified reason for it. (The best has been that Mofftiss and co. don’t want them to. News flash: Mofftiss does not have the corner on “modern Sherlock Holmes.” MOFFAT WAS INSPIRED BY AN UPDATED SHERLOCK HOLMES HE WATCHED AS A KID.) It’s not even friggin’ out yet and we’re hating on an apparently perfectly qualified, probably even great, actor for no reason. I don’t like the “it’s not Cumberbatch” attitude. I don’t like the “oh this actor has played such and such character, there’s no way he can play this and this character now” thing. Actors are not their characters. They are not irrevocably attached to their characters. Seeming so is bad for their careers if they want to be able to do varied stuff. I really don’t like the “we have enough crime shows” comment. LOGIC FAILURE. THE SAME THING APPLIES TO SHERLOCK. 

I don’t like the Titiana post in general. I don’t trust the intentions there. It doesn’t seem like a “guys look at Cumberbatch’s awesome acting debut role was!” it seems like a making fun of actors who do female roles, possibly with crappy inferences about why they would play them. (And that possibility pisses me off as well.)

I should probably actually…say some of this in the group instead of ranting about it in a removed spot, but I’m not trusting myself to be not an asshole about it.

Nope. Didn’t get a ticket, and I made plans so I’m no longer debating wasting two or more hours on travel for one hour of Gathering beforehand.
